In 2025, Tingoi competed in the International Quant Championship (IQC), one of the world’s most competitive contests in quantitative finance, coming up against thousands of participants from across the globe to test his skills in mathematics, programming, statistical modelling and algorithmic trading.
His exceptional performance stood out, earning him a place among the top finalists and ultimately securing a historic top-three finish.
By finishing second runner-up, Tingoi not only demonstrated personal excellence but also positioned Kenya on the global stage in a field traditionally dominated by elite institutions.
While excelling academically, Tingoi has also pursued interests in data science, quantitative analysis, and blockchain-based healthcare records management, showing a versatility that complements his competitive success.
